About

Established in 1997, the Nile C. Kinnick scholarship aims to reward men with outstanding high school careers entering their first year at the University of Iowa. The scholarship is named for Nile Kinnick, Iowa’s lone Heisman trophy winner and a brother of Phi Kappa Psi. Nile was known as a well rounded individual and this is who the scholarship is intended to reward. In 2017, we will be awarding a total of $15,000 in scholarships.

Phi Kappa Psi has a national partnership with Boys and Girls Club of America, but Iowa City didn't have a club.  In 2016, Iowa Alpha took action and partnered with Boys and Girls Club of Cedar Rapids to start a new club in Iowa City.  On March 1, 2017, Boys and Girls Club of Iowa City began providing food, academic help, and recreation to 30 kids.

About

April 21-23, 2017 400 brothers and guests of Iowa Alpha celebrated 150 years of Phi Kappa Psi being at the University of Iowa.  We rented out all of The Airliner, golfed at Finkbine, toured 363 N. Riverside Dr., and had a banquet at the new Hancher Auditorium.  It was a fantastic weekend!

See everyone who attended here!
